As the organization has grown, SLP has expanded beyond litigation to address the broader systems that contribute to extreme sentencing and mass incarceration.
Today, SLP integrates direct legal representation, systemic advocacy, and holistic reentry support to reduce mass incarceration, expand second chances, and ensure that individuals returning home have the opportunity to thrive.
Through coalition leadership, policy advocacy, and the voices of directly impacted individuals, SLP also works to advance evidence-based reforms that prevent future generations of young people from receiving extreme sentences.
