Who We Are
Search One Rescue Team | K9 Search and Rescue
Search One Rescue Team | K9 Search and Rescue was founded in 1983 by Paul Lake in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and has grown into one of the busiest and most respected K9 search and rescue organizations in the United States.
Operating as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit with zero paid staff, the team serves official governmental agencies at absolutely no charge; responding to more than seven calls per month across urban, rural, and wilderness environments. Over four decades, Search One has partnered with more than 200 governmental agencies ranging from local police departments to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Texas Rangers, and the National Park Service.
Every donation received goes directly to the mission: training and equipping volunteers and K9 units so that when a family is desperate for answers, Search One is ready to respond.
