Who We Are
Fisherman of Men Church
Fisherman of Men Church of Apostolic Faith began in 1969 in the living room of Elder Clarence Groover and Sister Nettie Groover on Aspen Street NW in Washington, DC; a humble beginning that grew into a thriving, spirit-filled congregation with over five decades of faithful service.
Centrally located at 3641 Georgia Avenue NW, our church serves an internationally diverse community through Bible-centered messages, dynamic outreach, and ministries for families, women, men, youth, the incarcerated, and senior citizens. Our mission is to evangelize the world for Jesus Christ, equip believers to become true disciples, and engage the social challenges facing the communities we are called to serve.
Today, the legacy of the Groover family lives on through Judy Groover and Roy Russell, and through every life transformed by the power of the Gospel at Fisherman of Men Church.
