AJ and the Cool Kids
AJ and the Cool Kids Autism Foundation was founded in 2021 by Antonio and Tonya Tolson after their son AJ was diagnosed with autism at just 18 months old.
Rooted in the Charlotte, North Carolina community, the foundation delivers financial assistance, autism education, early intervention resources, and genuine emotional support to families navigating life after an autism diagnosis. Each year, through their signature annual gala and ongoing community programming, the organization awards direct grants to deserving families: reducing therapy costs, easing financial strain, and ensuring parents never have to walk this road without a village behind them.
What began as one family's response to an unexpected moment has grown into a thriving movement centered on confidence, inclusion, and the belief that every child belongs.
